A 4-Week Evangelism Class for Beginners

Week 1 — The Necessity of Sin Before the Gospel
What is biblical evangelism? Why does biblical evangelism begin with sin? We will study how God’s law reveals our true condition and prepares the heart to understand the gospel. We will look at passages like Psalm 19:7 and 1 Corinthians 1:18.
Week 2 — The Law That Leads to Christ
How does the law actually work on and prepare the human heart? We’ll study how the Bible teaches that the law exposes sin, silences excuses, and leads people to Christ, with texts from Galatians 3:24, Romans 3:19-20, and 1 John 3:4.
Week 3 — The Gospel: The Only Solution
What is the gospel, and how do we clearly communicate it? After the law prepares the heart, we learn to share the gospel. This week focuses on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and how His work answers the problem of sin. We will look at passages like John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and 1 Peter 1:3-4.
Week 4 — Faithfulness in Evangelism
What results should we expect when we share the gospel? We’ll study God’s sovereignty, the different responses we should expect, and how evangelism strengthens both the church and the believer, using Philippians 1:12-14, Matthew 13:3-23, and Colossians 1:5-6.
