Read James 1:2–4
Just as raw metal is heated up so impurities rise to the top and are scraped away, gold is tested by fire and faith is tested by trials. Testing does not create your faith; it reveals what is actually there. Let the trial do its deep work, humble yourself under God’s hand, and allow Him to scrape away the impurities so you can finish your race with joy.
