There are two major dangers when it comes to giving: either giving your money without your heart, which results in a hollow, insincere religion that gets no credit with God, or not giving at all, which reveals a heart that hasn’t truly been given to Him first. Giving yourself to God means fully devoting yourself to be used for His purposes, bringing every area of life under His lordship. Within that all-encompassing scope, your finances are not only included—they are viewed entirely as His finances.
