Read 1 Peter 2:9
Believers are a chosen people, a holy nation, set apart as God’s special treasure to proclaim His praises. Like the sacred utensils in the Old Testament temple, we have been made holy by the blood of Jesus and reserved exclusively for His glory. That is why sin is so serious for a Christian—it misuses what God has dedicated to Himself. You have been set apart; live today as one who belongs only to Him.
