Read Philippians 2:12–13 and 2 Peter 1:5–11
Sanctification requires conscious effort. We cannot earn salvation by works, yet we will not grow if we remain passive. Peter urges us to “add to our faith,” putting off the old self and putting on the new. God works in us both to will and to do, and He who began the good work will complete it. Don’t stand still—add to your faith today.
